Cycle Orienteering
Cycle Orienteering is a great way to explore the cycle network in Swindon. Orienteering enables participants to practice route planning to find the quickest way from point to point.
Cycle Orienteering works like this. There are a series of ‘Check Point’ on a map. Swindon has a Cycle Map where all the Check Points are printed. The Check Point on the map is a printed red number in a red circle. On arriving at a Check Point, look at lamp posts, signposts or railings to see if a Check Point can be seen.
All you need to do when you find a marker is write the letter in the grid (below) in the box that corresponds to the location’s number. This is a way of showing that you have been to each location.
